How do I create a product A/B test in my shop system so that it also works in PeakWMS?

If you want to test two variants of a product - for example, different images, descriptions or prices - you can do an A/B test in your webshop. But for it all to still work correctly in PeakWMS, it has to be done right.

Here's how you do it:

1. Duplicate the product in your webshop

   • Go to the product you want to A/B test and make a copy/duplicate.

   • It's important that you give the duplicated product a completely new SKU - it must be unique. Otherwise, PeakWMS will not be able to separate them.

2. PeakWMS now creates two separate products

   • Because you've given the new version a new SKU, it is created as a new product in PeakWMS automatically.

3. Create a bundle in PeakWMS

   • Create a new bundle in PeakWMS that makes sure we pick the right product when a customer orders your new duplicated product variant B.

   • That is, select your original product (variant A) as the sub-product and the new duplicated SKU (variant B) as the main product. That way, when variant B is ordered on your webshop, the sub-product variant A will be picked.

You may want to create a test order for the new product to test if it runs properly.
