Choice of shipping methods depending on weight & volume

You can customize in Shopify so that certain orders are only shipped with certain shipping methods. For example, you can make all orders over 5 kg only ship with GLS and all orders under 5 kg ship with DAO. This is done like this:

Select "settings" in Shopify
Select "Shipping and delivery"
Select "General"
Select "Add rate"
Select "Add conditional pricing"
Enter the price or weight you want the price to depend on

Here is an example of how shipping is set up so that all orders under 5 kg are sent with DAO and all orders over 5 kg are sent with GLS:
