How does the DAO Return labelless code work?

Always use the return label or code from Peak – that way you can be sure the package can be delivered correctly and reaches us. If your customer instead buys a DAO return label themselves (e.g. at a parcel shop), it becomes a C2C (consumer-to-consumer) shipment, which is only used for private address. In practice, that means the package is sent to the nearest parcel shop instead of to ShipShark. So DAO returns must always go via the return portal – i.e. a label or labelless code that you have created in Peak.

DAO offers a label-less return method where your customer simply writes the 9-digit code on the package and drops it off at a DAO parcel shop.

It is automatically activated in your DAO account and the process for creating a labelless return code is exactly the same as any other return label. See our guide to creating a return label in PeakWMS here.

There will be a 9-digit code at the bottom of all DAO return labels. Your customer must clearly write this code on the package.
