Step 6: Adding Shipping Methods in Shopify

How to choose which shipping methods you want to use in Shopify & Webshipper and connect them to Peak. This is an important step that you will also need if you change shipping methods later.

Always start in Webshipper, including without CCS and when you do not use Webshipper in your Shopify checkout. PeakWMS needs the shipping methods from Webshipper so you can select a product code. Creating a shipping method only in Shopify is therefore not enough.

Follow these steps in order:

1. Create shipping methods in Webshipper (all shops).
2. If you do not have CCS, also create the shipping methods manually in Shopify.
3. Connect the shipping methods to PeakWMS.

1. Create shipping methods in Webshipper (with and without CCS)

• Create a new shipping method in Webshipper (by logging in with your login here)

• Go to "Connect" -> "Order channels" and select your Shopify integration

• Press the "Create Shipping Rate" button to create a new shipping method

• Now fill in the following:

  • Under "Name" enter the name that your shipping method should have in Shopify at checkout

  • Under "Carrier" select the carrier

  • Under "Service" select the shipping product you need (home delivery, parcel shop, etc.) - if in doubt, use our overview here

  • Set up the country it should only apply to

  • Set up rules for weight and free shipping

  • If you use Webshipper in your checkout through CCS, confirm that the shipping method is displayed correctly

2. Without CCS: Also create shipping methods in Shopify

Complete this step after the Webshipper setup above. If you already have a shipping method in Shopify, such as "Standard", you still need to create the corresponding shipping method with a carrier and service in Webshipper.

If you have CCS (carrier calculated shipping) and use Webshipper to display shipping methods at checkout, continue to step 3.

• Set up shipping method in Shopify

  • Select "Settings"

  • Select "Shipping and delivery"

  • Select "General"

  • Select "Add rate"

  • Enter the shipping method and price (and any shipping limit) you want

  • Confirm that it looks correct in your checkout

3. Next step: Connect the shipping methods to PeakWMS

Once the shipping methods are created in Webshipper and ready in Shopify, connect them to PeakWMS. Without CCS, the Host ID in PeakWMS must exactly match the shipping method name in Shopify, such as "Standard". Select the product code from the shipping method you created in Webshipper.
